Proposal Contemporary ground and first floor rear extension. Loft conversion with rear facing dormer and skylight to front (Ms Caroline Pearce).
The Trust did not think the extensive ‘contemporary’ development would sit happily with the existing dwelling. This application was Allowed.

Proposal Two storey side extension (Mr Robert Stanley).
The Trust had objected that what is proposed is out of keeping with the Estate design, incompatible with the character of neighbouring dwellings and would effectively double the size of the house. This application was Allowed.

Proposal Replacement of four semi-detached houses with two blocks of student accommodation consisting of: 3 x 3 bed flats, 11 x 4 bed flats, 1 x 5 bed flat, 9 x 6 bed flats, 2 x 7 bed flats, 1 x 8 bed flat, and a Warden's flat, together with amenity space, cycle storage, bin store, restricted operational car parking and landscaping (Amended Plans) (Mr Rob Buckland).
The number of students to be accommodated had been reduced from 161 to 134 and the building line drawn back to that of existing buildings. The Trust objected along with more than 100 others, to the original and modified plans on the grounds of residential amenity, the design of the buildings, and concerns about enforcement of parking restrictions, since this is not being built or managed by the university. This application was Refused, after a discussion which raised a large number of issues including the need for a policy specifically on student housing.
