Comments The Trust preferred the scheme (17/01502/HOU) permitted last year for a single storey extension. On this proposal particular exception was taken to the large roof lights. This application was Allowed.

Proposal Extension and amendments to existing dwelling (Mr Phill Adams).
CommentsThe plans submitted with this application were inadequate. This application was Allowed. (Revised drawings were submitted).

Location Hampshire Constabulary HQ, Romsey Road, SO22 5DB.
Proposal Winchester (Miss Lisa Parchment) Erection of sales and marketing signage.
Comments Vehicular access via West End Terrace was permitted until 12 August 2020 as part of 16/00957/FUL. The current proposal uses a date in 2023 to which the Trust objected. The Trust thought the signage proposed excessive and particularly objected to affixing a large sign to the old brick and flint wall at the corner of Romsey Road and West End Terrace. This application was Allowed until 12th August 2020. Signage affixed to the old flint and brick wall has been omitted from revised plans after historic environment objected.

Location Ashley, Hillside Close, SO22 5LW.
Proposal Single storey extension, roof extension; rendering of existing brickwork (Mr Rory Myles).
Comments The Trust thought that the roof extension proposed would eliminate the characterful asymmetric roof pitch which is echoed elsewhere in the neighbourhood. This application was Allowed. Decision notice not available.

Date 04/06/18 Ref No. Not Available Case No. 18/01385/FUL
Location 11 Somers Close, SO22 4EJ.
Proposal Detached 3-bedroom house in garden of 11 Somers Close (Mr John Thomas).
Comments Ther was no Application Form or details of the building materials to be used included and there was no indication of what impact the proposed building would have on the neighbourhood and its character. The Trust objected. The application was Refused on grounds of overdevelopment and adverse impact on the area.
